After reading this BBC article based on Kim MacAskill's interview, I feel very inspired and galvanized! The advice Kim shares is very sincere and heartfelt. She delves into the pressures and confusion a writer may have when getting their foot in the door; I feel the pressure Kim shares of developing small projects of what I think a studio wants on a portfolio.  Common advice from professionals is to submit work that fits the tone and genre of a game company.

Eventually, as you're looking for work, it becomes more difficult to submit tailor-made writing as you apply for many openings.

So, I really connected with that statement of  "you have to sell your own voice from where you’ve came from because that’s what is going to stand out."

My artistic voice and style are all I have in an interview, when I share my writing, and when I tell a good story. Thank you, Kim, for inspiring me to use my authentic voice more!
